Tom Forte

Tom Forte, Director of Business Development and a Consultant at TMI, joined the firm in 1993. As a consultant, Tom assists TMI clients with nationwide certification issues for both IXCs and CLECs. He has been instrumental in the development of several of TMI's key publications including the Switched Access Study, a comprehensive review of interstate and intrastate switched access rate elements.

Prior to TMI, Tom worked for eleven years with ALLTEL, a large independent local exchange carrier. At ALLTEL, Tom served as a Senior Engineer in Network Planning, Plant Supervisor, Staff Manager-Budgets, and Tariffs/Cost of Service Supervisor. In these positions, he developed databases to manage inventory and budgets.

His accomplishments at ALLTEL included the streamlining of procedures through the creation of budget model and the successful development of rate case and tariff filings for three operating companies. Tom also held a variety of positions in his early career at ALLTEL in marketing support.

Tom attended Waynesburg College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Science.

I've had the pleasure of working with Tom Forte and the staff at TMI for many years, both at Matrix Telecom and now at Ambit Energy. I highly recommend them for their expertise, dedication to a quality work-product, and especially for the CRS system they've developed. Their online compliance reporting tool is without question the greatest timesaver I've ever worked with. We had over 1,700 monthly/quarterly/annual report filings and I could count on the fact that TMI would accurately prepare the reports and have them available for my review and approval on time.

Relative to your regulatory questions, I heartily recommend Tom Forte at Technologies Management, Inc. (TMI). TMI has been involved in all facets of the telecom regulatory business since the late 1980's.  They have excellent experience in state certifications, compliance, tariff analyses and tariff maintenance.  Even better yet, they offer what I believe is the best value for regulatory dollar spent.  Lawyers get involved only when lawyers are needed for the state/local filing requirements.  I've worked with Connie Wightman (founder & CEO) since the early 1990's. Tom was my right hand contact in managing the tariff consolidation and compliance issues with the various M&A activities.
